DLU4 4 " Vise Base Shown with DLU4ALU-Jaw Kit.

The CarvLock vise series from Kurt offers a new "systems" approach to high precision workholding. The 80,000-PSI ductile iron base has superior vibration damping characteristics. The ability to carve part profiles on all four sides of the movable jaws adds versatility and economical advantages. Jaw plates sold separately.

  • Productivity - multiple part workholding for better spindle utilization, reduced tool change time, and reduced machine travel from part to part.
  • Durability - 80,000-PSI ductile iron body and steel components provide strength, rigidity and long term accuracy while absorbing any machining vibration.
  • Versatility - the basic CarvLock vise base can be converted into other models simply by changing jaw kits. By removing the center jaw and adding the optional conversion plate it becomes a single station vise.
  • Flexibility - quick change jaws reduce set-up times. (for greater part turn-arounds).
  • Economy - jaws may be carved on all four sides.
  • Self adjusting throughout entire clamping range. Can clamp A and B loads in same set-up.
  • Accuracy - job-to-job setup changes within locating holes in vise base held to ±0.001".
  • 2" jaw travel using the CarvLock jaw kits.
  • Change a set of jaws in 1 minute.
  • Optional internal hex available.

  • 90° indexable soft jaws (6061 - T6 Aluminum) can be machined to fit the shape of your part for inexpensive dedicated fixturing.
  • Movable jaw blocks are indexable and machinable on all four sides. Allows machining over bolt holes in stationary jaw.
  • Stationary jaws are keyed to the vise base for repeatability within 0.001".
